Swimming lessons are done and dusted for Years 1 to 6. There was some great feedback from the Derby pool staff regarding how well all our students participated and how so many students really wanted to improve their swimming capabilities. The Kindy and PP students will have lessons in Term 4 and further details will be sent out later in the year. Thanks to all the staff for supporting the students over the past two weeks.
Our Swimming Carnival is to be held on Friday 7th March from 8.30am to 10.30am. The model of the carnival will be different to previous years as many of our students do not have the swimming skills to compete in races. We will still be running some races but students will be grouped in race lengths and timed individually. House points will be awarded rather than individual champion points. Student times will determine who will be eligible to swim in the Inter-school carnival in their age group (if no students meets the eligibility criteria then we will not be sending a student to participate). Further details will be sent out shortly.
Just a reminder to families that before school supervision of students, starts at 7.35am. We ask that children do not arrive before this time. Supervision of students after school, finishes at 2.35pm. We ask that all students are collected by this time. In the event that you might be late for pick up, please contact Miss Jenna in Admin so that your child can be notified that you will be late.
