Warrior Weekly

Waccamaw Middle School has earned an EXCELLENT rating again for the third year in a row! We earned a 71 on our State School Report Card, which is 3 points higher than last year! These ratings can be attributed to great teaching, awesome students, and a supportive environment! Way to go Warriors! To see the full 2025 School Report Card, please visit the link below:

Honoring those that served!

This time of year is so special—it’s a season of gratitude, giving, and connection. It’s also a time when we, as a Warrior family, can come together to make a real difference in our community. Every year, WMS proudly hosts a Food Drive to support the Pawleys Island Baskervill Food Pantry, and this year, our impact matters more than ever. In October 2025 alone, Baskervill Food Pantry served 607 households—1,744 individuals—right here in our own community. Our neighbors need us, and we’re ready to answer that call.

We’re excited to announce our 5th Annual WMS Food Drive, running November 17–December 18, with all donations going directly to the Baskervill Food Pantry at our Winter Assembly on December 18. To make things even more fun, we’ll be hosting a Warrior Time Class Competition! The class that collects the most donations will earn a pizza party, ice cream party, and extra recess—and, most importantly, the honor of delivering the collected food to the pantry in person, representing WMS and our Warrior spirit.

We’re also thrilled to share that MK Technology has generously agreed to match all donations collected during the week of December 1–5! A huge thank you to them for stepping up in such a big way. Now, here’s the challenge...Can your business—or one you know—join in by matching a week’s worth of collected goods? Or maybe even the total amount we gather? Together, we can multiply our impact and spread even more kindness this holiday season. Below is the Food Drive schedule:

November 17–21: Available for business match

December 1–5: Matched by MK Technology

December 8–12: Available for business match

December 15–18: Available for business match (Winter Assembly on Dec. 18)

Students can begin bringing in canned food starting November 17. We’re also accepting monetary donations that will be used to purchase canned goods. Please make checks payable to WMS PTO.

For more information, check out the linked details about the Baskervill Food Pantry and the vital work they do across Pawleys Island and Georgetown County. You’ll also find our WMS Food Drive flyer below with all the event details.

Let’s come together once again to show what it means to be part of the Warrior Family—strong, caring, and united in service. Can you help us help our neighbors this holiday season?

Wishing our Varsity football team (tonight at Hanahan @ 7:30 pm) and our Boys and Girls Cross Country team (at Newbery @ 5 today) Good Luck as they head into the playoffs and State Qualifiers. Go get 'em Warrirors!
