• Literacy Achievement Awards - Ms. Janine Sack, Supervisor of Literacy, presented the 2025 Literacy Achievement Awards, which included the Silver Pen Awards for elementary students in grade 5, and the Abington Middle School Writing Awards, for Abington Middle School students in grades 6-8. Both awards, sponsored by the Abington Educational Foundation, recognize students who have exhibited outstanding writing ability. Ms. Sack also recognized the K-12 Reading Olympics teams across all of the District's nine schools.
• Mathematics Achievement Awards - Dr. Lawrence Lee, Coordinator of Teaching and Learning, presented the 2025 Mathematics Achievement Awards, alongside Ms. Pamela DaSilva, Gifted Teacher at Abington Middle School and Rydal Elementary School. The awards recognize elementary and middle school students for their accomplishments in the Mathematical Olympiads, the Continental Mathematics League, and the Pennsylvania Statistics Poster competition.
• Visual Arts Honors - Ms. Nicole Carraciolo, Curriculum Lead for K-12 Art, honored student artists for exemplary works created during the 2024-2025 school year. Artwork from the student artists will be displayed on the first floor of the Administration Building next school year. Ms. Carraciolo also recognized students for the awards their artwork earned in juried competitions during the 2024-2025 school year. Lastly, she recognized Abington School District for being named an Outstanding Visual Arts Community for the fourth consecutive year by the Pennsylvania Art Education Association.
• Performing Arts Honors - Ms. Julie Maragos, Curriculum Lead for K-12 Music, recognized students who successfully auditioned for, or were awarded by, festivals at the regional, state, and national levels. Other notable achievements of student music ensemble groups from the 2024-2025 school year were also highlighted.
