June Weekly update ~ June 6, 2025
June has arrived!
A note from Mr. Lee
As we come to the close of another school year, I want to take a moment to thank all of our Carter Middle School parents and families for your support throughout the year. Together, we have accomplished so much, and it has truly been a great year of learning, growth, and school spirit! Thank you for a rememberable first year!
As we move into summer, I encourage you to help your child stay sharp and avoid the "summer slide." Simple activities like reading together, practicing math facts, visiting your local library, writing in a summer journal, or exploring educational apps can make a big difference in keeping skills fresh for the fall.
A special thank you goes out to our 8th grade parents as you prepare to send your child on to high school. We are proud of all that our 8th graders have accomplished here at Carter, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the years ahead.
Don’t forget — we will celebrate our 8th graders with the 8th Grade Clap Out on June 12th at 10:40 AM. Parents are welcome to join us! Please remember: do not park in the bus loop. Instead, line up outside the main entrance to form a tunnel and cheer on our students as they make their way out of the building one last time.
Thank you again for a fantastic year. Wishing you all a safe, fun, and relaxing summer! We look forward to seeing everyone back in the fall — and best of luck to our 8th graders as they begin their high school journey!
Special Remarks from Mr. Syswerda
Not returning to Warren Consolidated Schools?
Parents, if your student(s) is not returning to Warren Consolidated Schools in the Fall they will need to return their laptop and charger to the main office no later than Tuesday, June 10th. If you are unsure your student can return their laptop and have it returned to them in the fall.
Any questions please call our main office for assistance.
Rise Winners!
What is rise? It stands for Respectful, Individually accountable, Safe and Engaged. When students demonstrate these behaviors at school, their teachers may choose to reward them with a RISE ticket. We will continue this program next year. Good Luck!
