Thank you for being an important part of our Covington community. Together, we are brewing kindness, learning, and success for every Cougar!

A warm welcome highlighting the week’s celebrations or an important school focus.

Our school attendance rate is currently 89%, and our goal is to reach 95%! Congratulations to kindergarten at 96% and fourth grade at 94%. We are excited to launch our Strive for 95% attendance challenge, more information will be coming soon!

Arriving on time is just as important as being at school. As a reminder, beginning this week, tardies will count toward eligibility for all before, during, and after-school Cougar Clubs. Students who receive five tardies may be removed from their club. Together, we can improve our attendance and reach 95%!

We had a latte great things happening at Covington this week! Our students worked hard on reading skills, had fun learning about fractions, and proudly celebrated Mexican Independence Day. We also had a GREAT time at our Bingo and Ice Cream Social on Friday night! It was wonderful to see so many Covington families laughing, playing, and enjoying time together. Thank you to our PTO and everyone who helped make the night so much fun!

Club Forms

Cougar Club information will be sent home with students soon! If your child is selected for a club, please review the meeting dates, times, attendance expectations, and behavior expectations. A parent or guardian must sign and return the form before the child can participate.

Please remember that beginning this week, tardies to school count toward Cougar Club eligibility. Students may be removed from their club after five tardies, so arriving at school on time is very important. Please check your child’s backpack and return the signed form by the deadline so they do not miss out!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-Teacher Conferences are a wonderful opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher, celebrate their progress, and discuss ways we can continue supporting their learning.

Conferences will be held:

Thursday, October 8: 4:00–8:00 p.m.
Friday, October 9: 1:00–6:00 p.m.
Families may choose an in-person or phone conference.

The scheduling window will open in Family Access on Thursday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. Select the Sign Up tile to choose your conference time. Scheduling will close on Monday, October 5, at 11:59 p.m. After the scheduling window closes, families may view their scheduled conference time through the Conference tile in Family Access.
