Principal's Message
Making Choices That Matter β€οΈ
This week, HMS will join schools across the country in recognizing Red Ribbon Week, a time dedicated to encouraging healthy, safe, and drug-free choices.
While the dress-up days and fun activities are always something our students look forward to, I hope they also take away something more meaningful. Middle school is a time when students are learning who they are, building friendships, facing new pressures, and beginning to make more decisions for themselves. We want them to understand that their choices matter, that their futures are worth protecting, and that they always have people who care about them and are ready to help.
Throughout the week, we'll have opportunities for students to learn, participate, and think about what it means to make positive choices. I encourage our families to continue those conversations at home, too.
We're also celebrating the end of a terrific middle school football and cheer season and looking ahead to basketball season, which is right around the corner!
Let's have a great Red Ribbon Week, Miners! π

Red Ribbon Week Is Here!
Make a Difference. Be a Hero. Stay Drug Free.
We're looking forward to a great week of Red Ribbon activities at HMS! Along with our daily dress-up themes, students will participate in drug prevention lessons, assemblies, and contests throughout the week.
These activities are about more than just having funβthey're opportunities to learn, build awareness, and encourage one another to make healthy choices.
Check out our dress-up themes below and join in the fun!
As a reminder, all costumes and outfits must be school-appropriate and follow our dress code. Please remember: no masks or face paint, no weapons or fake weapons, and nothing revealing.
Let's show our Miner spirit while celebrating healthy, drug-free futures! β€οΈππ€

Throughout the season, these students have represented HMS with dedication, hard work, and Miner Pride. We've watched them grow, work together, encourage one another, and give their best for their teams.
A huge THANK YOU to our players, cheerleaders, coaches, and everyone who supported them throughout the season!
We're proud of you, Miners! ππ€
