Bronco Families,
As we start to wrap-up the spring athletics season we want to congratulate all of our athletes who participated in this season! From a record breaking track & field season for many athletes, to seeing the first girls flag football and boys volleyball seasons, we have seen dedication and hard work across our teams! Congratulations on a successful spring sports season to all!
While we see sports come to an end, we are also inching closer to the end of the academic year, it's essential to stay focused and finish strong! Whether it's wrapping up projects, studying for finals, or completing last minute assignments, remember that your hard work will pay off! Keep pushing forward, stay organized, and don't hesitate to reach out if you need support or guidance.
For our graduating seniors, the journey is nearing its end, but the memories and achievements will last a lifetime. As you prepare to walk across the stage and embark on the next chapter of your lives, take a moment to reflect on your accomplishments and the challenges you've overcome. We're incredibly proud of each and every one of you, and we look forward to celebrating your success very soon!
It's undeniably a great year to be a BRONCO! Stay tuned for more updates.
Parkrose HS named AVID National Demonstration Site
Hearing stories from students sent a powerful message of how hard their teachers and staff are working to support them and their education. Students feel seen, heard, and are proud of where they go to school. Thank you to the efforts of the PHS staff for making our high school a wonderful place for students.
Principal of the Year
Oregon Association of Secondary School Administrators visited Parkrose High School recently to recognize Principal Molly Ouche as Oregon's High School Principal of the Year. Ms. Ouche is a pillar of leadership in her ability to create equitable, student-centered systems. An example of this is bringing AVID to Parkrose and ultimately gaining recognition as the first National Demonstration site in Oregon. Ms. Ouche is often guiding other educational leaders around PHS, showcasing the school-wide culture and systems that lead to improved post-secondary outcomes for students.
Superintendent Lopes-Serrao calls Ms. Ouche a "leader of leaders", going on to describe how she has "been instrumental in helping design and implement professional learning for our staff. This includes AVID, culturally responsive teaching, coaching and much more. She is a highly skilled facilitator and has the remarkable skill of looking at professional learning as an ongoing process that is integrated into daily practice."
"Molly is a true leader," shared COSA Executive Director Craig Hawkins. "Her dedication to doing the right thing for students is worthy of celebration."
Congratulations Principal Ouche!
