Use this question each week to engage your student at home with the learning that your is doing at school.

Kindergarten: What is something that you could recycle? What is something you could add to a compost?

1st Grade: How do people around the world celebrate differently from you?

2nd Grade: On a piece of paper have your child solve 345+252. They should show their work using decomposing, number line, or the base ten strategy. Have them bring it back to their teacher this week for a prize!

3rd Grade: Ask your child what was their favorite part of the music program? Give details to explain why.

4th Grade: Ask your child to solve the following math problem: 327,253 - 23,784

5th Grade: Give your child a real world example of when you have multiplied a multi-digit whole number. For example, I needed 18 groups of a dozen donuts for a team party. How many donuts is that?

Safe Travels Start at Home

With holiday travel approaching, it's important to talk to your child about staying safe when out and about. Review what to do if they get separated from family in public places and remind them never to go anywhere with someone they don't know. If flying or driving, pack healthy snacks and include familiar items to help ease transitions.
