A Note from Mrs. Stefanich
What a great two days!
Thank you for sharing your precious children with us! We had such a great time on Wednesday and Thursday and we can't wait until next week. I absolutely loved visiting your child's classroom over the past two days. I already saw students diving into books, learning about each other and practicing classroom routines. At Park we celebrate a Growth Mindset and believe in The Power of Yet! There are plenty of things we can't do, but changing our mindset to "plenty of things we can't do YET" opens up our world to amazing opportunities to learn and grow. A growth mindset celebrates mistakes and encourages risks. Help your child see beautiful mistakes as chances for our brains to grow alongside of us this year!
In addition to this, I will be visiting every classroom in the next couple of weeks to do a read aloud and share a building theme: SPARK JOY! We will be talking about the many things that bring us joy in our lives, in our homes, and at school. We want to make sure we are finding ways to Spark Joy in ourselves and in others to help spread and multiple joy in our community! We have quite a large area of drywall during construction that I'd like to decorate with some "joy". After reading to your class, I'll be sending your child home with a cardstock "instagram" post. If you'd like to participate, please print a 4 inch x 4 inch picture of your child doing something that Sparks Joy for them, with a little caption underneath. You can print an actual 4x4 photo, or just print it on a computer printer, and glue it into the gray area on the page. Don't have access to a printer? Have your child color what Sparks Joy for them in the box, or email me the picture and I'll print it for you. I'll be putting these pictures up on our drab drywall to help Spark some Joy! You can see an example of the blank page that will come home, and the one I created if that's helpful. This project is optional, but I'd love to see lots of Park Joy on our wall! **Reminder that I'm reading to different classes on different days, so your child's blank instagram page will come home on different days, especially if you have more than one child at Park. I will also leave extra copies in the office if your child misplaces yours. (Or if you're like me, and you accidentally throw it away.)
Looking forward to a joyful week!

Help Needed!
Would you be interested in working as a crossing guard after school or as a substitute for our lunch time and recess helpers? We are looking for people who would like to help out at school! Our crossing guard position is every day after school from 3:30 to 4:00. If you pick up your child every day, this might be a great fit for you! Our lunch and recess aides help out during the noon hours each day. These are paid positions, and we'd love to have you on our team. If you're interested, please email Mrs. Stefanich or Mrs. Lidgard. Our emails are delidgar@hpseagles.net and mstefan@hpseagles.net.
