GMS Falcon Update

Final Grade Card Pickup at GMS is from 8am-2pm the following dates:

** Anyone who did not participate in promotion/awards events will also receive items at this time. Promotion or other awards cannot be mailed.

If your family has any GLS tech that was borrowed this academic year, please return it on schedule pickup days to the appropriate building. If it is not returned, an appropriate fee will be placed on the student account.

Even if the device is from a past year, please turn it in so they can inventory it, assess any damages, and remove a prior fee if applicable.

Reminder: Information for incoming grade 7 students:

Ohio Law requires that all seventh graders must have received multiple immunizations. Before starting school, students in the 7th grade must have a Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis) and a Meningococcal vaccine. Written proof of receiving these vaccinations must be on file in the school office. Students who do not have evidence of proper immunizations will be excluded from school after 14 days, per Ohio Revised Code.
If your doctor says immunization might be harmful to your student, a waiver must be on file. If you object to immunization for good cause, for example religious convictions, a waiver must be on file.

Reminder to all who signed up to take American Sign Language at GHS next year - You need to apply to Edison State Community College, and then schedule to take the Accuplacer. Be on the lookout for more information coming via email from Mrs. Bechtel.

These students will assist with Motivational Monday lessons, assembly planning, and other tasks to continue to improve climate and culture at GMS for staff and students!

MS volleyball info- MS Open Gym will be held Friday, June 2nd, 10-11:30am in the Main HS Gymnasium

What: Opportunity to learn the game of golf and prepare for HS golf

Who: 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Boys and Girls for School Year 23-24

Where: Lakeland Golf Course

When: Practices 5pm-7pm each Sunday starting June 18th through July 30th (no prtc July 2nd)

Play 9 holes 5:30 each Tuesday starting June 27th through August 1st (no golf July 4th)

Cost: $100

Golfer: no experience required, must have own clubs

This is a club sport, and not affiliated with any school. Simply an effort to develop young golfers and provide opportunity.

Reminder that tryout clinics will be held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (May 30-June 1) at the GHS main gym from 4:30-6:00pm.

Tryouts are on Friday, June 2nd starting at 3:30pm.

Additional information is available in the GMS office for those that did not grab packets in the final weeks of school as announced.

Graham Middle School FLIGHT summer camp registration is officially open! This camp provides students with engaging enrichment activities including STEAM curriculum, recreational activities, character education, and community service activities, as well as numerous field trip opportunities.

Camp sessions :

June 5-29 Monday-Thursday(virtual Fridays)

July 10-27 Monday-Thursday (virtual Fridays)

9am-3pm

Open to any Graham student who will be in 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade in the 2023-2024 school year.

Graham Local Schools does provide transportation for each enrolled student.
