ANNOUNCEMENTS

Model United Nations: If you are a student who is interested in debating world affairs then Model U.N might be for you. We are having our first meeting of the year this Friday right after school. This meeting will last about 45 minutes and will be held in Mr. Forster’s room. Room 111. If you aren’t able to attend but are interested in finding out more, just stop by room 111 and Mr. Forster will fill you in on all that you need to know.

The Blend: will be open Thursday during 5th hour for deliveries. The order form is in your class Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Cordle in room 109,

Seniors and Sophomores: Jostens orders are due this Friday October 2nd, be sure to place your order on jostens.com SENIORS - This does NOT include ordering caps and gowns, that is done separately later in the school year.

Juniors: Are you interested in taking the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test for free? We will be offering an opportunity to do so on Wednesday, October 21st. To register, simply sign up in the counseling office no later than Wednesday, October 7.

Media Center: Enter for a chance to win a journal from Sherlock Holmes! All you have to do is check out a new book that was received with support from the Jan Stauber Grant Program of the Beacon Society before Halloween to be entered into the drawing! The drawing will take place on Friday October 30th. The books are all about Sherlock Holmes and contain many different genres including Humor and True Crime! These aren’t just the classics; they are reinvented mysteries and puzzling problems! See the High School Librarian to learn more and check out these amazing books!

Hockey: If there is anyone interested in trying out for the Legion Hockey team (our co-op team based in Sandusky) there will be tryouts on October 26th and 27th from 5-6:30 at the Colleen J Howe Arena in Sandusky. You will need to have a physical on file in the office prior to try-outs and you must register to try out ahead of time. If you are interested in signing up to try out, please email Mrs. Naracon and she can send you a link to do so.

Softball: There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing softball this spring on Thursday October 1st right after school on the Varsity Softball Field. The meeting should only take 15-20 minutes. There will also be a sign-up sheet at Mrs. Naracon’s desk for anyone interested in playing, even if you cannot attend the meeting please sign up there.

NHS Meeting: There will be a NHS Meeting on Tuesday 10/6 at 6:45 am, for current members ONLY. New members will attend after the induction!
