American Heart Association
Dear Kinsner Families,
As we wrap up our Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association, we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support throughout the month of February. Thanks to your generosity and enthusiasm, we raised a remarkable total of $12,540.64 (as of 3/11/25) for the American Heart Association!
Throughout February, our students learned so much! They were educated on hands-only CPR, engaged in heart-healthy exercises, discovered the importance of heart-healthy foods, gained new jump rope skills, and honored over 60 loved ones with special hearts. It was a joy to witness their excitement as they embraced these valuable lessons!
At our final assembly, we had the pleasure of presenting a check to our American Heart Association representative, celebrating our achievements together. We also raffled off two Warmies to students who raised over $100, and we announced the winners of our month-long jump rope bead guessing game, both of whose guesses were just 3 off the total of 654 beads! To add to the fun, our top fundraisers from each class had the opportunity to turn us into ice cream sundaes—what a delightful and sticky sight it was!
THANK YOU to everyone who registered for the Kids Heart Challenge and to all who helped raise funds for such an important cause. Your participation made a significant impact!
As a bonus incentive for a job well done, We’re thrilled to share that Kinsner Elementary will be receiving around $1,000 from the American Heart Association and their partner, US Games, to help us purchase new PE equipment. This will greatly enhance our students' physical education experience!
Together, we have accomplished something truly special for the American Heart Association and we are so proud of our Kinsner community. Thank you once again for your unwavering support.
With much appreciation,
Mrs. Emily Weir and Mr. Trevor Cilik

Visitor Management System
Dear Community Members,
We are excited to announce that our district is adopting the Raptor Safe mobile app as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing school safety and streamlining visitor management in our schools. This app builds on our existing visitor procedures, offering a more convenient and secure check-in process for everyone.
What is the Raptor Safe App?
The Raptor Safe app offers a convenient and secure way for visitors to manage and verify their identity before arriving at a school. With the Raptor Passport feature, visitors can pre-verify their identity, allowing for a seamless sign-in process when they arrive on campus.
How Does It Work?
When visiting a school, visitors can use their secure QR code generated by the app to expedite the check-in process. QR codes automatically regenerate every 5 minutes to ensure security and prevent misuse.
Getting Started
The Raptor Safe app is available to all visitors across the district. To download the app, please visit
https://raptortech.com/raptorsafe-app/. For questions or assistance, please contact your school office. Thank you for helping us keep our schools safe.

Career Day
I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the volunteers who are participating in our inaugural Career Day event. Their willingness to share their time, expertise, and experiences with our students is truly invaluable. We recognize and deeply appreciate the time, effort, and commitment they have invested in preparing for this event. Their involvement sends a powerful message to our students about the value of education and the importance of community engagement.
What is Career Day?
They will be creating age-appropriate 15 m. presentations about their day-to-day professional lives. By making connections between careers and the concepts our students are learning in school, they are helping to bridge the gap between education and real-world applications. This practical insight is crucial in helping our students understand the importance and relevance of their studies. Presentations are organized by grade-level. Classes will rotate rooms after the 15 minutes. So they'll see 4-5 different career options. See the schedule below.

Ramadan
We want to inform you about an important religious observance coming up and how our school is supporting our diverse community.
What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is a holy month in the Islamic calendar. During this time, many Muslim families fast from dawn to sunset. This means they don't eat or drink during daylight hours. Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection, increased charity, and spending time with family and friends.
How Our School is Supporting Students Observing Ramadan
We understand that some of our students may be participating in Ramadan fasting. To support these students, we will be providing an alternative space in the office or atrium during lunch. This space will offer:
A comfortable area away from food
Quiet activities such as coloring and reading
Supervision by school staff
Students observing Ramadan are welcome to use this space if they prefer not to be around food during meal times. Participation is completely optional. We believe this arrangement will help create an inclusive environment for all our students while respecting religious practices. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the school office.
Additionally, Strongsville City Schools is pleased to offer take home meals to our students who observe Ramadan. Meals will be provided on school days only from March 1st-March 30th. One breakfast and one lunch per student. Meals must be ordered in advance and picked up by the student observing Ramadan. Meals will be charged according to the student's meal status (Free/ Reduced/ Paid). To sign up, please use the form below.

For adequate staffing purposes, please let us know if you’d like your child to have this option during Ramadan by inputting their name HERE.
Thank you for your support in making our school a welcoming place for everyone!
