The Heartland Heartbeat

1. All Master Agreements MUST be signed by END OF DAY TODAY (August 3rd) or your student will be withdrawn from Heartland with no chance to re-enroll until the 2027-2028 School Year
2. As a note, the first day of school for the 2026-2027 School Year is August 12, 2026. To clarify, Master Agreements must be signed 9 days prior to the first day of school to ensure that planning has occurred and our students are set up for success.

Heartland staff has created a new Heartland Student Writing Journal for you to use with your TK-8th grade student(s) at home that will help guide them through the writing process. This journal has lessons for the beginning, emerging, and advanced writer, with a new writing experience culminating at the end of each week. Journal entries can also make wonderful work samples to share with your HST!

Please work with your HST if you have any questions.

Homeschooling With Heart is a place for our Heartland parent community to come together to share with one another, be encouraged, and learn more about the incredible possibilities of homeschooling and homeschooling with Heartland. We meet several times throughout the year on Zoom, with most of our meetings happening on the second Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm. We look forward to having you join us!

We also wanted to share an incredible presentation on Creating the Optimal Homeschool Environment from some of our wonderful Heartland OTs. The video and slides are full of information on how to set your students up for success.

The band MJM had the priviledge of performing during the Advent service at Country Oaks Baptist Church in December 2025.

MJM features Jerry on piano and guitar, Miller on drums, Micah on guitar and vocals, Jaceysue on vocals, and Maleah on ukulele bass.

Together, they brought energy, joy, and heartfelt worship to the service. They shared three songs as part of the Christmas service: Where My Joy Comes From by Unspoken, I’m So Blessed by CAIN, and the beloved traditional carol Go Tell It on the Mountain.
