There are many BRIGHT and amazing things happening daily at Young Elementary and we want to make sure we share them with you and our community. We introduce to you "The Sunshine at Young," a weekly photo dump of the BRIGHT, amazing things that our students and staff are excelling in!

We are competing with the other DISD campuses in the "Keep Decatur Beautiful Challenge." We will compete to see which campus can collect the most plastic film products by weight. The campus that collects the most plastic film at the end of the school year will be rewarded with a Green Campus Trex bench.

The challenge starts now until May 10th, 2024.

The collection container is located outside of the library! Bring your plastic film recycle pile to Young! Help us win!!
