1st Day of School for Kindergarten Students is Wednesday, August 6, 2025
Kindergarten Back to School Night - August 4
Kindergarten Back to School Night is scheduled for Monday, August 4. For families whose last name begins with letters A-L, please attend the 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM session. For families whose last name begins with letters M-Z, please attend the 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM session. During this time, you will help your student unpack their school supplies, meet with your child's teacher, and receive additional information about your child’s new school routine.

Way to Go Schoolpool - Register Today!
Cherry Creek Academy has partnered with Schoolpool to assist families interested in connecting to set up carpools for daily school pick up and drop off, sports and activities transportation and more!
The more families register, the more likely you are to find good matches. Even if your family doesn’t need a ride, consider signing up to see other families that live in your area. Your participation builds a stronger school community.

Carpools and Traffic Reminders
Carpools
If your family has set up a carpool with other CCA families, please email Miss Sadie at frontdesk@cherrycreekacademy.org to let her know so we can ensure your children go to the correct dismissal location.
Parking and Neighborhood Etiquette
Please be respectful when parking in our surrounding neighborhoods. According to the Colorado parking law, no vehicle may be parked:
- Within 5 Feet of a Private Driveway
- Within 15 Feet of a Fire Hydrant
- Within 20 Feet of a Crosswalk
- Within 30 Feet of a Flashing Beacon, Signal, Stop Sign, or Yield Sign
- Please be aware of the NO PARKING signs located in the neighborhoods.
- U-turns are illegal on Caley as indicated by the posted signs.
- Left-hand turns into CCA’s parking lot and onto Elmira Circle are illegal from 7:15am –8:15am and 2:45pm–3:45pm. Our front parking lot will be closed from 7:20am – 8:00am and again from 2:45pm –3:45pm. Please do not move the chain!
- Double parking is never allowed. If cars are along the side of the road, please pull in behind them.
Chromebook Repair Insurance
Exciting news, we have new Chromebook cases and several classes will be using brand new devices!
Cherry Creek Academy offers optional Chromebook Repair Insurance for 4th-8th grade students. Insurance is available from July 1 through August 31 at 11:59 PM and costs $40 per student, per school year. Please note that coverage isn't active until 48 hours after payment.
Insurance covers 50% of all damage claims. For example, a screen replacement would cost $80 with insurance, compared to the regular $160 fee. You can make payments online via Revtrak, or by cash or check made out to CCA.

Peer Helpers
Attention All Peer Helpers!
Peer Helpers interested in helping on the first day of school, please arrive at 7:20 to be outfitted in a safety vest and help students carry supplies to their classrooms. Please email Mrs. MacFarland to let me know if you are able to assist Tuesday morning. I hope you can participate in serving and showing our school who we are and what we do!
Interested in Joining Peer Helpers?
Attention all CCA Middle School students! Peer Helpers will begin meeting on Friday, August 15th at 7:15am in Mrs. MacFarland's room. Any middle school students who are interested in participating in our Peer Helper program should plan on attending this meeting.
Peer Helpers is a group of Middle School students who are trained in leadership skills in order to help their fellow CCA community. Our main roles are providing tutoring and/or going on Buddy Walks with elementary students. Please email Mrs. MacFarland mmacfarland@cherrycreekacademy.org with any questions. I hope to see you there!
Chess Club Registration is Open
Kings of Chess club helps kids learn chess in a fun way. Registration is open now. Chess club begins meeting at CCA on Monday, August 25.
Band Information and Sign Up
Ready to find a new passion, make friends, and create amazing music? Then come join a CCA Band!
Our music community has a spot for you! Band is more than just playing notes. It's about teamwork, feeling more confident, and sharing your voice through music.

The first day of kindergarten is an emotional and exciting milestone for both students and parents. Come share some "Tears" and celebrate with "Cheers" as you send your little one off to kindergarten! Join us in the Front Lot to take a photo before you wave goodbye to your student. Then, stick around to enjoy coffee and get to know other kindergarten parents.
