📅End of the Year Media Center Book Return📖

Please be on the lookout for emails from Mrs. Hinger regarding overdue media center materials for your student.

Please search your home and see if you can help your student locate any missing CMS Media Center books.

All CMS students should return the books they have checked out from the media center by May 8th.

Students who do not return the books will be assessed a fine and parents will be expected to pay the fine before the student leaves CMS. Students receive weekly overdue emails from Mrs. Hinger. Please help CMS Owls to support our community and return these books so others may read them next year.

❗6th Grade Immunization Update❗

Very important!

If your student is a current 6th grader, please take time over the next few months to contact their medical provider or the health department to make sure they are up to date for all required 7th grade vaccinations.

There are often two doses due over the summer before 7th grade. These are state requirements for students to remain enrolled in August.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact Kristin Barnard, school nurse, at barnardk@clarke.k12.ga.us

Clarke Middle Health Center Hours for June and July

Located between the campuses of Clarke Middle and Bettye Henderson Holston Elementary schools, the Clarke Middle Health Center (CMHC) is a free clinic that serves students and staff from all Clarke County schools.

Clarke Middle Health Center is an extension of the Athens Free Clinic, under the Augusta University/University of Georgia Medical Partnership. CMHC also serves as a service-learning site for medical students. In addition to medical services, the clinic also offers free legal and behavioral health/counseling services through partnerships with the Community Health Law Partnership (Community HeLP) clinic through UGA's School of Law, UGA’s ASPIRE Clinic at the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, UGA's College of Public Health, and UGA’s School of Social Work.

CCSD offers bus transportation to students from their home school to attend an appointment at a CCSD school-based health center on a needs assessment basis. Contact your school's social worker, counselor, or school nurse if interested.
