Principal's Message
Welcome back, Maple Glen Families,
It was so great to see our students return from break! This first week back has been a busy one. Congratulations to the Maple Glen Math Bowl team on their 2nd place finish at this year’s competition. They worked incredibly hard over the past few months. Thank you as well to our Math Bowl coach, Mrs. McClelland, for her dedication and support.
ILEARN testing will continue into next week for our 3rd and 4th grade students. Your child’s teacher will share specific days and times. If possible, we ask that appointments be scheduled outside of your child’s testing window.
Next week, Westfield Washington Schools will be sending out a registration form for all returning students. Due to district rebalancing and students moving between schools, it is especially important that this form is completed as soon as possible. Please reach out to the office if you have any questions.
Have a great weekend,
Tiffany Buzan
Morning Car Rider Reminders:
Just a reminder: Due to a high volume of drop-off students, your car (regardless of grade level) may be directed to the front of the building instead of the back. In this case, students will enter through the kindergarten door. This hallway is also where our TECH and STEM classes are located, so all students are familiar with this area.
All kindergarten students will continue to enter through the front, as they have all year.
If someone new will be dropping off your child, please be sure to share this information with them.
Please watch your speed in the parking lots.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us provide a safe arrival for all students.
Little Maple Leaf Night is April 23rd!
Do you have an incoming Kindergartener for the 26-27 school year? Join us for Little Maple Leaf Night on Thursday, April 23rd and 6pm! Incoming families are invited to explore our school, meet teachers and staff, and get a feel for the year ahead. Enjoy a fun scavenger hunt that will guide you through the building while helping you discover everything kindergarten has to offer. We can’t wait to welcome you!
Maple Glen Blood Drive
Maple Glen will be hosting our spring blood drive on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. 3. To ensure space, lunch tables are reserved for you and your child only.

Talking Points
Westfield Washington Schools usesTalkingPoints to communicate with families! TalkingPoints allows for seamless multilingual two-way communication between teachers and families. Families can choose to receive messages via SMS text messaging or through the free FAMILIES | TalkingPoints mobile app for Apple or Android.
This platform has enhanced translation capabilities, so families can receive and send messages in their preferred language. Additional tools like speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and closed captioned videos make this program accessible to all of our Westfield families.
The most important thing you can do to ensure you are receiving messages from your child’s teacher is to make sure your contact information for the “Father” and “Mother” fields in PowerSchool is correct. When a teacher sends out a message, TalkingPoints will automatically use those two phone numbers. If you’d like to add additional contacts, please reach out to your child’s teachers.
