HOORAY!
We studied Chicago from a variety of perspectives and lenses including:
- Potawatomi Heritage & Indigenous Rights
- Bronzeville Roots & Civil Rights Movement
- Chicago River as Maker of History

June...OUR SECRET GARDEN!
A.K.A. RAS' Happy Land...
Our CPS FPAMC Microgrant has awarded us $3,500 in art supplies that we have put forward to our Secret Garden! We are enhancing last year's fairy garden design based on our real-world observations!
Students K-8 grade have created mason and leafcutter bee houses and the bees have been shipped! Soon to be invited to pollinate our flowers!
(Mason and leafcutter bees' sting isn't painful. They mostly fly away on contact anyway:)).)
Our Student Design Goals
- More sandbox free-play and learning space for little ones
- More infrastructure to support bug hotels and insect study
- More care to erosion of space---keep vandalism down, update structures
- Remake habitat for fairies, mason bees, gnomes, leafcutter bees, pixies, ladybugs and many flowers to pollinate
- Remake a safe-space for all to gather---a true agora:)...
