January Update @ Pekin Elementary
Empowering ALL students to excel, innovate and lead
Dear Elementary Parents and Community,
Happy New Year! As we step into 2025, we are thrilled to welcome our students back to school tomorrow, Tuesday, January 7th. We hope everyone had a wonderful break filled with rest, joy, and time with loved ones.
As we return, we are excited to continue working with your children to discuss goals, celebrate their growth, and support their success. At the end of January and into February, we will begin our middle-of-the-year screeners to assess progress and identify areas where we can help students continue to thrive.
To ease the transition back to school, we will review our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) expectations with students as soon as they return. After such a fun and relaxing break, we understand that adjusting back to the school routine may be challenging for some, and we want to ensure every student feels supported.
At Pekin Elementary, we remain committed to fostering a positive learning environment, providing high-quality instruction, and celebrating the progress of every student. We look forward to the incredible growth and achievements that await in the months ahead.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Here's to a successful and fulfilling second half of the school year!

A huge shout out and thank you to Mrs. Utterback!
Our students put on a fantastic holiday concert, showcasing their talents in the Kindergarten through 2nd-grade musical performance and the 5th and 6th-grade band concerts. It was truly a joy to watch our students perform with such enthusiasm and excitement for music!
A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and community members who brought students and showed up to support our programs. Your encouragement and presence mean so much to our students and staff and we are grateful for your ongoing support!
