Beneke Blast September 25, 2026-October 2, 2026

Dear Beneke Families,

Thank you for another great week at Beneke Elementary! Our Bears continue to work hard, demonstrate strong routines, and show Bear pride throughout the building. We are proud of the effort our students are putting into their learning each day, and we appreciate our families for your continued support and partnership.

Thank You to Our Amazing Grandparents! ❤️🐻

A very special THANK YOU to all of our grandparents and family members who joined us for our Grandparents Breakfast! It was wonderful to see so many smiling Bears enjoying this special time with the people they love.

We truly appreciate everyone who took time out of their morning to be with us and support our students. Thank you also to everyone who visited our Book Fair and helped support our Beneke library!

As a grandparent myself, I understand the vital role grandparents play in the lives and success of our grandchildren. We are encouragers, supporters, teachers, cheerleaders, and sometimes the extra push they need to keep going. The love, guidance, and support we provide can make a lasting difference in a child’s confidence, education, and future.

I was especially grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy a quick breakfast with my own little Bear, which made the morning even more special for me!

Thank you for continuing to show up for our Bears. Your presence matters, your encouragement matters, and you are an important part of their success!

Every Minute of Instruction Counts!

As interventions and targeted instruction continue, daily attendance is more important than ever. Please make sure your student is at school every day unless they are ill.

Students should arrive at school on time and remain at school for the entire instructional day. Arriving late or leaving early means missing valuable classroom instruction, intervention, and small-group learning opportunities.

Every day matters, and every minute of instruction counts!

Remember, every student who has perfect attendance for the week will receive an extra sweet treat! We love celebrating our Bears who are at school, on time, and ready to learn each day.

Thank you, families, for partnering with us to make attendance a priority!

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!

Beneke Elementary is proud to continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! This is a wonderful opportunity for our Bears to learn about and recognize the rich cultures, histories, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

We encourage our families to continue the celebration at home by sharing family traditions, stories, music, art, food, and important Hispanic and Latino figures with their children.

At Beneke, our diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and we are proud to celebrate the cultures and traditions represented throughout our Bear family!

📅 Please Read Our Calendar of Events!

We have many exciting activities, celebrations, and important dates coming up at Beneke Elementary. Please take time to carefully review the Calendar of Events included in this newsletter.

The calendar contains important information that will help your family stay informed and connected to what is happening on campus. Please review it each week so you do not miss important dates, activities, or opportunities for your Bear!

Open House – Wednesday, September 30 | 5:00–6:30 p.m.

Please join us for Beneke Elementary’s Open House! This is an opportunity to visit your child’s classroom, connect with teachers, and learn more about what your Bear is learning and the expectations for a successful school year.

We will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m., so please plan to arrive on time. We look forward to welcoming our Beneke families!

Your participation and partnership make a difference. Thank you for staying connected, supporting our teachers, and being actively involved in your child’s education.

We are proud of the strong start our Bears have made and look forward to their continued growth and success.

One Team. One Dream. Stronger Together.
We are on our way to an A by May! 🐻

With Bear Pride,

Julie Smith
Principal
Beneke Elementary

¡Gracias a nuestros increíbles abuelos! ❤️🐻

Beginning on the first day of school, families must have a car rider number and the official car rider tag/document provided by the campus in order to pick up their child through the car rider line.

If you need a car rider number or campus car rider tag, please stop by the front office for support.

Thank you for helping us keep dismissal safe, organized, and efficient for all of our Bears!

Arrival and Dismissal

School Hours 7:35 AM-3:25 PM

7:35 AM-8:05 AM Student Arrival

8:06 AM Tardy Bell Rings

3:25 PM-3:45 PM Dismissal

All car riders have a car rider number, and parents must have the placard issued by the campus to pick students up from the car rider line.

You may not use a picture of the placard to pick up your student.

If you arrive after 3:45 PM to pick up your student up from the front office with the car rider tag, show your ID, and sign the late dismissal form.

Please be courteous and follow the procedures when using the car rider line.

The traffic pattern is designed for cars to take turns, turning into the parking lot from Briarchase Dr. Please do not form a third line down the center of the road to turn into the car rider line.

Walker A Parents, please do not block the entrance to the neighborhood. In the event of an emergency, an emergency vehicle needs access to the residents' homes. Therefore, you may not park on both sides of the entrance or the main road leading to the neighborhood.

Walker B Parents, please do not park on the side of Briarchase Drive disrupting the car rider line. If your child is a walker you may not call them over to a car where you are parked or driving. You need to exit your vehicle and walk to meet your student.

Llegada y Salida

Horario escolar: 7:35 a. m. – 3:25 p. m.

7:35 a. m. – 8:05 a. m. | Llegada de estudiantes
8:06 a. m. | Suena la campana de tardanza
3:25 p. m. – 3:45 p. m. | Salida
