2023 Homecoming - In the Garden

Join in the homecoming week festivities for CMHS as students celebrate with spirit week leading up to the big homecoming game against Western Brown. The annual parade will be Thursday, October 5th at 6 p.m. on the Clinton-Massie campus. There will be a parade route change this year, and it will start at the event entrance closest to the high school baseball diamond.

The game on Friday, October 6th, will begin at 7 p.m. with the presentation of homecoming court at 6 p.m. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m.

The homecoming dance will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 7th, in the high school auditeria, and it will end at 10 p.m. Tickets will be $15 and will go on sale during school lunches starting September 25th. Off-campus students will need to check their email for a ticket reservation form. Tickets will not be sold in person at the career centers--they must be reserved utilizing the form.

We look forward to celebrating an amazing homecoming event!

Friday - Falcon Friday: show your red, white, and blue Falcon spirit!

New Leadership Class "Does Good"

Nikki Killen’s new leadership class is making an impact across campus. Leadership students delivered notes of gratitude to the high school's cafeteria and custodial staff on Friday (9/1) in their first round of a "Do Good Day." Students acknowledged the efforts and impacts of the people who help feed them and keep their facility so clean and inviting.

The class also added positive affirmations to the girls' bathrooms during the week of 9/8 (pictured below).

High school Leadership students met with the administration of the middle (above) and elementary (below) schools to plan peer mentoring programs. High school students will focus on developing relationships with students and providing academic guidance in our younger grades, helping the younger students to see the value they bring to our schools and community.

Congratulations to our 23-24 LCYC Delegates

Congratulations to this year's 23-24 Leadership Clinton Youth Collaborative delegates! The following students submitted applications and were chosen by staff recommendations: Dakota Cartner, Sydney Hudson, Austin Sauer, and Addison Swope. The team attended the first session at Wilmington College on Tuesday, September 12th.
L to R: Sauer, Swope, Hudson, and Cartner

Just a Reminder from the Cafeteria

If you were approved for free or reduced meals, remember to re-apply this year. If you go to the Clinton Massie webpage, family resources, titan pay, it will direct you to the new LINQ page, where you can apply for free/reduced meals, and put money on your students account.

If your students are approved this year for Free or Reduced meals, there will be no cost. Please encourage your students to come and get free breakfasts and/or lunch. If our numbers increase with the free meals, it will help the Government see that free meals, for the schools, are needed for all students. If your student packs, but would like to come and get their free meal, they can do that as long as they take the full meal.

AGAIN, You must be approved for FREE or REDUCED meals in order to get the free breakfast or lunch. It doesn’t hurt to apply. If you are approved for Free or Reduced meals, you also get school fees waived!

We look forward to serving your students,

Thank you!
