A NOTE FROM MRS. ABROMAITIS A NOTE FROM MRS. ABROMAITIS

The 2022-23 is off to a fabulous start! It is hard to believe the first quarter of the school year is complete. We have made some improvements to our buildings and grounds with some new paint, safety gates, technology, signage, cafeteria cooler and freezer installation and new mats at our entryways. Our first several weeks have been focused on getting our baseline assessments completed and building structures, routines, and relationships while digging into content and growing our minds.

As the seasons begin to change, please make sure that your information is up-to-date with the main office. The holidays will be here before we know it. Our goal is to continue to work diligently to support the needs of our Cardinal families. Please reach out if there is something we can do to help.

Congratulations to Mr. Chris on being the first recipient of the Dryden Elementary Golden Apple Award! Mr. Chris consistently goes above and beyond and is always willing to lend a helping hand. He not only keeps our building running smoothly and looking great, he also makes connections and builds positive relationships with students and staff. Mr. Chris is always kind and ready to share a smile, too. We appreciate all he does. He makes our world go around!

Congratulations, Mrs. Medley! Mrs. Medley might not even realize she's as amazing as she is, but others see it and appreciate it. It's the little things she does like the way she talks to all students, helping in the lunch room to make sure students know where to sit and can open their food, and the fact that she is a happy person. Mrs. Medley's positivity with students and staff help make our school a better place!

REMINDER REMINDER

Drop off times are 8:15 - 8:30 in the back of the building. At 8:30, teachers are busy assisting students and getting the day started, so they are not able to open the doors. Please drop off students at the main doors in the front of the building if it is after 8:30.

OUTDOOR DRESS OUTDOOR DRESS

zoom_out_map
Please be sure to dress your child for the weather- perhaps in layers...

Recess will be outdoors unless conditions require otherwise.

Jackets, gloves/mittens, boots and hats are a good idea as Mother Nature adjusts to Fall and transitions to Winter.

If you need assistance, please contact the main office. We can help!

Our Reset Room is newly moved and helping our students daily. The purpose of this room is to provide a safe space for students to regulate their behavior, refocus their attention, and work on restorative strategies. Students may ask or be asked to visit the Reset Room as a positive means to deal with their emotions or conflicts. When students arrive in the Reset Room, they can use the exercise equipment or some calming tools to help regulate their emotions. Students are accompanied by an adult and work through their challenges. We would like to once again thank the Fredi The PizzaMan Foundation for the generous grant to update our sensory equipment!
