Randall Weekly Update - Week 38
๐๐ฆ๐ค๐ ๐ค๐ฆ๐Congratulations to our 8th Grade Class & Happy Summer๐๐ฆ๐ค๐ ๐ค๐ฆ๐
Our 8th grade promotion ceremony last night was memorable and a great example of what our Randall community is all about. So many family members, friends and staff attended and, together, we celebrated the accomplishments of our 8th grade class. Along with their certificate, an intangible piece of Randall will always be with the students who walked across the stage. We wish you all the best in high school and remember to keep your integrity wherever you go and in whatever you choose to do!
The recipe for success to make a great last week of school is a mix of maintaining routine and learning with all of the fun activities that make the end of the year special. We enjoyed ice cream from PTC, our annual Inflatable Race and spent time outside signing yearbooks and enjoying our friendships and fun on the last day of school. See the many pics below!

Summer Meals Program for Families
As we head into the summer months, we want to share a helpful community resource for families who may need support in accessing meals for their children this summer. The Kenosha YMCA Summer Rural Meals Program provides families with a weekly meal kit that includes 7 days of breakfast and lunch for each child in the family. This program is completely free to families. Please review the information included in the attached flyer and scan the QR code or click here to sign up. Reach out to Morgan Moczynski (mmoczynski@randall.k12.wi.us) with any questions. Programs like this help ensure our students continue to have access to nutritious food throughout the summer months and help to support our families.
Week 38 Highlights
Counselor's Corner
From Ms. Roth
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we head into the summer months, we are excited to offer an optional Summer Book Club opportunity for middle school students (upcoming 6th-8th grade) centered around the book The Amazing Generation.
The focus of the book is to reflect on screen use, how to use technology as a tool, and ways to engage in fun-filled experiences that are screen free.
Students who choose to participate will:
Read the book independently over the summer (Books will be provided to students who sign up)
Participate in an โAmazing Generation Challengeโ by trying something new, independent, or outside of their comfort zone over the summer months
Join an in-person Summer Book Club gathering near the end of summer
The end-of-summer gathering or โBook Club Meetingโ will provide students with a chance to discuss the book, share experiences from their challenge activities, and reconnect with peers before the start of the new school year. The meeting will be August 4th from 12:00-1:30 and will include a picnic lunch, discussion of the book, and activities to reconnect with peers!
Please use the following Sign Up Form to sign your child up to participate. The deadline to sign up is Friday, May 22nd.
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Roth, school counselor, at 262-537-2211 x1210 or lroth@randall.k12.wi.us.
Thank you!
Speak Up Speak Out Program for Randall
Randall School is pleased to announce the launch of the SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT confidential tipline as part of our school safety efforts. Tiplines are used to identify threats to schools, and for concerns impacting school age youth such as bullying, drug use, suicidal thoughts and more. Schools that promote and use tiplines have less violence overall. The SPEAK UP, SPEAK OUT (SUSO) tipline is run by the Wisconsin Department of Justiceโs Office of School Safety. Parents and students, this tool is available for anyone to use to help keep the Randall Community safe!
Randall students will engage in learning about how to advocate for their own (and others') safety and well-being over the next month in partnership with our counselor, Mrs. Roth, as well as other members of our student services team. We encourage you to speak with your child about the importance of communicating when/if they feel that their safety may be compromised.
Here is a LINK to an informational flyer about Speak Up Speak Out.
Thank you in advance for all of your support!
