Weymouth Early Childhood Center
2025-2026
September 6, 2026
Good Morning,
We’re Off to a Great Start at WECC!
We were thrilled to see so many happy faces—parents, guardians, and grandparents—during our Parent Orientation and Student Orientation days at WECC this past week. It was heartwarming to watch students and families connect, explore the school, and prepare for a fantastic school year.
Thank you to WECC Parent Council, Weymouth SEPAC, Weymouth CFCE, and Champions for attending our WECC Parent Orientation Night.
It was wonderful to see families come together and learn about the valuable resources and support these organizations offer to students and their families. We appreciate your continued partnership and dedication to our community!
WECC School Council:
We are looking for School Council members. If you are interested in being a part of our school council please send me an email (maura.perez@weymouthschools.org) to let me know of your interest. The first meeting will be on Monday, September 28th at 5:00 p.m.
What is School Council?
There are four major areas of responsibility for school councils.
Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards
Identifying the educational needs of students attending the school
Reviewing the annual school building budget
Formulating a school improvement plan
Reminders:
Important: As part of the 2026–2027 PreK school year, all families are required to attend on one of the following dates:
Positive Solutions for Families - Wednesday, September 30 at 6:30 p.m. OR October 7 at 6:30 p.m
This night is for parents/caregivers only. Positive behavior strategies used at school can be successfully carried over at home. We will discuss ways to help children recognize and manage their emotions, develop coping skills, and reduce challenging behaviors through consistent routines, clear expectations, and supportive strategies.
We can’t wait to kick off an amazing school year together!

Student Drop-Off & Pick-Up
All students should be walked to Door #7, the front entrance of WECC. For the safety of all students, we ask families to remain at the bottom of the stairs. A staff member will greet your child and escort them safely into the building.
Once inside, students will have a designated spot in the front hallway where they will line up with their class before beginning their school day. We appreciate your help in making the first-day arrival process safe, smooth, and welcoming for everyone!
Designated staff will be at pick-up points at dismissal time, so you’ll always know where to meet your child.
