A Commitment to Safe Schools
Earlier this week, families received an email message from the District in response to recent immigration-related activity that has escalated anxiety within our school community. The message described a coordinated system of safety protocols, support services and communications that includes our law enforcement partners, school leaders and key staff. If you missed the message, please read it here.
Let's Talk About It Blog: Dry January
While January seems to be the month to limit alcohol use, caregivers could use this template to reflect on other unhealthy or unwanted habits in everyday life. Making changes to any unhealthy or unwanted habit not only benefits the person making the change, but the entire family. Our children are watching us and they learn from us. Modeling change is a gift that benefits not just you, but those that love and care about you. Read this month's blog from the Student Support team here.

Winter Weather Reminders
As we move into the winter months, here are a few reminders about what to expect during inclement weather.
Chromebook Best Practices Tip
- Charge your Chromebook at home in the evening.
- Bring your fully charged Chromebook to school each morning.
- A fully charged Chromebook should last the entire school day on a single charge.
Keep your chargers at home.
- Bringing your charger to school puts it at risk of being lost or stolen.
- Leave your charger safe at home where you can use it to charge your Chromebook every night.
Never leave your Chromebook unattended in classrooms or anywhere at school.
- This includes leaving Chromebooks in a classroom overnight.
Don’t let others use your Chromebook.
- Every student is issued their own Chromebook – and there are loaner Chromebooks in each classroom for extenuating circumstances – so there should be no need for anyone to borrow your Chromebook.
