π Open House at Stissing Mountain - September 17th @ 6pm
Our Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 17th from 6-8 pm. Parents/guardians/caregivers are welcome and encouraged to attend. This event is an opportunity for families collaborate with teachers, learn about our school's structure and the on-going opportunities we have to offer.
π± Cell Phone Policy Reminder
- As many of you are aware, New York State has passed a mandated ban on all personal internet enabled devices (cell phones, smart watches, tablets, etc.) throughout the school day from 7:30am to 2:15pm here at Stissing Mountain. The last few years we have had a policy of no cell phones in the classrooms or hallways, but students were able to use them during the lunch periods and between classes. With this new law students will not be able to access their phones throughout the day and they will need to be locked up in their locker for the entire day. We understand that this will be a big shift for students and for parents, but we would appreciate your support in creating an environment that is conducive to supporting student learning. Parents wishing to contact their student should call the main office 518-398-7181 ext. 1300 in order to do so.
π Fall CAPE Class for Student Drivers
The Teen Driving; A Family Affair fall make up session will be held at Spackenkill High School on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.
Registration will be held the evening of the event, beginning at 6:30pm. Program begins promptly at 7:00pm and is approximately 1.5 hours in length.
Students wishing to obtain a parking permit at school must attend this class. At least one parent must attend the class with the student. Once the class is completed, students can get a parking pass application from the Main Office.
