Harvey Entry Fee 50% Off!

Dear journalism family,

I am thrilled to announce the IHSPA Executive Board has approved a 50% reduction of the Rowena Harvey Competition entry fee! Members may now submit last year's student work for just $2.50 each!

FYI

• Schools that already submitted payment at $5 each may enter more work and/or get a credit for future IHSPA expenses (Hoosier Star, convention registration, etc.). Feel free to email IHSPA@franklincollege.edu if you need to confirm those details.

•The invoices on the IHSPA forms page reflect this change and should help with processing contest fees.

• Double check the spreadsheet on this page to ensure your membership is current. Schools not listed need to complete this form for 2026-2027.

• The Harvey contest deadline is still Thursday, Oct. 1! Email IHSPA@franklincollege.edu if you do not see your student media outlet under the "Media Organization" dropdown menu on the contest page.

JOURNALISM COURSE CREDIT

According to the Indiana Department of Education, the following courses may be counted as an ELA, communications, or elective credit toward the new diploma. Please reference the DOE’s companion document for further information.
