End of Year Events
The end of the 2026-2027 school year is quickly approaching. While not every event is listed, below are some important happenings that you can pencil in on your calendar.
8th Grade Field Day (Panther Games)
Students should be prepared to bring water and sunblock!!!!
From the Nurse
Allergies
Cue the pollen and the flowers and the..... AH-Chooooo! Oh no, allergy season is upon us! Please note that if your child suffers from seasonal allergies, the nurse's office does not have any allergy or cold medications. Please have your child take their medication before or after school.
With allergies, some students may have a flare up with their asthma. If your child requires the use of an inhaler, please complete the asthma action plan and send in with your child.
Ticks
Warm weather also brings ticks! Use a suitable insect repellent. Check yourself, your children and your pets after spending time outdoors. To reduce risk on hikes, stay on trails. If you leave the path, wear long pants tucked into your socks. If you find ticks, remove them right away. Use force and pinch the tick near its mouth parts, pulling the tick out slowly in a continuous motion. Don’t twist it, which may leave mouth parts embedded in the skin. Keep grass short in yards and avoid ungroomed areas. Not all ticks cause Lyme disease, however there are other tick borne illnesses out there! It is important to check yourself and your family for ticks after spending time outdoors.
Keep Hydrated!
Warmer temps are upon us! Please ensure your student brings their personal water bottle to refill at the water fountains and bottle fillers throughout the day.

Health/Phys Ed Class
In PE world, it’s the most wonderful time of the year—the LCMS Obstacle Course is back! The gym has officially been transformed, and students have already begun learning the course. Over the next two weeks, they will challenge themselves in new ways and accomplish tasks they may not have thought possible, demonstrating bravery, perseverance, and resilience along the way.
Throughout this unit, students will also work with teammates to navigate the course. It’s exciting to watch them build communication skills and demonstrate creative problem-solving. We love seeing leaders emerge, and it’s inspiring to witness students support and encourage one another as they take on this unique challenge.
This unit is a fantastic way to build confidence and celebrate a year of growth in PE. Be sure to ask your student about this memorable experience!
