The Lion's RoarAugust 21, 2026

A Note From Mr. Hulsey: A Note From Mr. Hulsey:

Our school verse for the year is Psalm 118:24: "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Our administrators selected that verse as a reminder that each day is a special gift from God and we should be happy for that gift of time to serve God.

Our hope this year is that we see each and every day as a unique blessing and opportunity to partner with our families to develop the full potential of each of our 173 students. As we travel the journey that this school year takes us, we appreciate your support and prayers. Please always let us know of any questions or concerns that you might have.

2026-2027 School Verse 2026-2027 School Verse

Each year, a verse is chosen to represent that school year. This year, our verse and focus will be Psalm 118:24: "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it."

Upper School students will have an opportunity to recite this verse to our Chaplain, Greyson Smith, during the week of August 31 to earn points for their color team.

Back to School Bash Back to School Bash

What a fun way to kick off another great year at Anderson Christian School! Our Back to School Bash on Saturday was filled with laughter, friendly competition, games, and fellowship as our ACS families came together to celebrate the start of a new school year.

Students kicked off the evening in the gym with exciting ACS color-team competitions, showing plenty of school spirit along the way. Congrats to Michaela Van Dyken for winning our unique version of musical chairs and to Izzy Davis and Brian Carroll for being the last team standing with their ball firmly in place. Also, congrats to Jake Golide and Nate Osipov for having the closest guess for the Mike-n-Ikes and Gummy Bears/Worms.

The fun continued outside with carnival-style games hosted by our teachers, where students visited each grade-level station and collected marks to earn points for their teams.

Most importantly, the evening gave students, parents, teachers, and families an opportunity to connect, laugh, and enjoy being together. We are so thankful for everyone who helped make the Back to School Bash such a success!
