We are re-sending to our Centerview community to make sure everyone received it.
Hello Centerview families!
Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year at Centerview Elementary!
The first day of school is almost here. We can't wait to welcome students to school on Monday, August 31, 2026. I hope your family had a wonderful summer filled with time to relax, have fun and make memories.
I'm excited to partner with our staff and your family for a great year. As we prepare for the year, our focus is simple: getting to know every student by their strengths, interests and needs. When students feel known, valued and supported, they're ready to learn and grow.
Below are a few important dates and reminders to help your family get ready for school.
I look forward to seeing many of you at Meet and Greet on Wednesday, August 26, and welcoming everyone on the first day of school. If you have questions before school begins, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Mike Callahan
Principal
Find your teacher – Monday, August 24

Meet and Greet – Wednesday, August 26 | 4–6 p.m.
Come meet your child's teacher, see the classroom and drop off school supplies anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26. We look forward to welcoming you!
Can't make Meet and Greet? Beginning Thursday, August 27, teachers will contact families who were unable to attend to introduce themselves and answer questions before the first day of school.
Visit the Back-to-School Hub
Everything you need to get ready is at SpringLakeParkSchools.org/BackToSchool. You also should have received a back-to-school checklist by email or text on August 5. Find:
- School supply lists
- The Education Benefits application
- Learning Ventures before- and after-school care information
- iPad preparation instructions
- And more
Bus riders
If your child rides the bus, bus stop information, pickup times and drop-off times are expected to be mailed the week of August 17. This information will also be available in Campus Parent Portal.
If your child is a regular bus rider, please plan for them to ride the bus on the first day of school. This helps students learn the routine and allows our transportation team to make any needed changes early in the year.
Car riders
If your child will be dropped off and picked up by a parent or guardian, please stop by the Drop-off and Pick-up table during Meet and Greet. You can register and receive your pickup number.
Specific arrival and dismissal expectations will be shared in print when you register and receive your pick-up number. Our #1 priority is to see that arrival and dismissal is done in an orderly fashion, so our students, staff and our families are safe.
Get involved through PTO
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) helps create great experiences for students throughout the year. I encourage you to stop by the PTO table during Meet and Greet to learn about volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved.
