In this lesson, students will explore an interactive map to examine important moments and places in LGBTQ+ history.
Teaching Global Civics in a Digital Age
Students are forming civic identities in a digital environment shaped by global events, misinformation, and rapidly evolving technologies. Yet the education landscape often treats global affairs, civics, and digital literacy as separate areas of study, leaving students without the knowledge, skills, and perspective they need to navigate an increasingly interconnected world. Join leaders from the Digital Inquiry Group and CFR Education for a conversation about global civics in a digital age and how educators across disciplines can address these gaps on Monday, Nov. 9, 2026 from 4:00-5:00 pm.

The competition demonstrates how geography intersects with not just other social sciences but culture, sports, technology, business, and art. And it's fun! For more information and to register, visit the National Geography Bee website.

Oregon’s longest-running haunted house returns to the Oregon School for the Deaf (OSD) for its 39th season, haunting the second, third, fourth, and fifth weekends of October. This year also features Sensory Night on October 9, offering a modified haunt experience. Best of all, every scream supports a great cause—proceeds from the Nightmare Factory directly benefit OSD students and programs.
A new public platform compares ten AI models across 48,540 simulated conversations, with learning and skill development emerging as their weakest area.
