Fisher Family Update
February 13, 2026

Good Afternoon Fisher Families,
As we move into March, we invite all families to sign up for a spring conference with your child’s teacher. These conferences are a valuable opportunity to connect, celebrate your child’s progress so far this year, and discuss learning goals for the remainder of the school year.
Meeting together allows teachers and families to partner closely, share insights, and ensure we are supporting each student’s growth academically, socially, and emotionally. We strongly encourage every family to participate, as these conversations help us finish the year feeling focused, supported, and successful.
Please take a moment to sign up to meet with your student’s teacher using the information and links below. If you are scheduling conferences for more than one child, we kindly ask that you leave at least 10 minutes between meetings to allow adequate time to transition from one conference to the next.

Scenes from Fisher
This week, we concluded our celebration of the 100th Day of School with a friendly engineering competition that focused on teamwork and collaboration. During 4th and 5th grade STEM class, randomly chosen teams of 3-4 students were tasked with designing and building the tallest tower possible using exactly 100 blocks. Here are some of the designs that groups came up with. Special shoutout to Pranav, Jack, Evelyn, and Messiah from Mrs. Wesinger's class for building the tallest tower in the school. Their tower stood 68 inches tall!

2026 MCAS Testing Schedule
Families of students in Grades 3-5, please make note of the upcoming MCAS testing dates.
Snow Gear Reminder
If there is snow on the ground, please remember to send your students to school with snow pants, boots, hats and mittens (don't forget to label them) for recess. They will be unable to play in the snow without them.
Also, we are collecting, good to excellent, used snowpants and boots for students at Fisher. Please think of us if you are doing any closet cleanouts.
5th Grade “You’ve been Schooled”
Prepare to have your fifth grader “Schooled” with a school of fish in your front yard!
Our goal is to get each child of the class of 2026 at Fisher “Schooled” before they move on to graduation. A school of multicolored fish will appear on your lawn and “swim” there for 2 days before migrating to another yard. The students love this annual Fisher tradition and seeing the fish travel around town.
We will start the “You’ve been Schooled” event in mid March, and the schooling will finish once we have "schooled" all 5th grade students.
Please have this form filled out and submitted ASAP to help with our planning!
If you are interested, we will also be collecting Schooling donations to help support the 5th grade end of year ceremony, graduation, and other activities! Donations can be sent via Venmo to @Fisher-PAC marked as “You’ve been Schooled” or by sending in an envelope labeled “PAC/5th Grade You’ve been Schooled” with cash or check, that can be dropped at the front office at Fisher School. Donations are welcomed but not necessary to participate.
All adults are invited to be professional SCHOOLers by helping the fish migrate! If you would like to join our team of SCHOOLers, please sign up in the attached google form.
