MiCoachCompass Update August 2026

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! As you prepare your teams for success, we are excited to partner with you to support impactful instructional coaching across your ISD.

Whether you're an administrator setting up your team or a coach getting ready to log your activities and cycles, here is everything you need to know to hit the ground running with MiCoachCompass this fall.

• Select programs, add districts and buildings, and assign coaches.

• Choose from a variety of configuration support options:

  • Tutorial Video: Step-by-step video guide walking you through the setup.

  • Written Directions: Comprehensive document with detailed instructions.

  • Live Guided Sessions (Zoom): Friday, August 28 from 9-10am: register here or email Erin Pell at epell@gomaisa.org to schedule a one-on-one session.

• Most of your previous setup carries over! Simply add new users or reassign existing coaches as needed.

We’ve listened to your feedback! Over the summer, we made several exciting updates designed to make the platform more flexible, intuitive, and tailored to your everyday needs:

• 🎯 Broader Coaching Topics: We’ve shifted from logging strictly essential practices to logging more general topics. This makes MiCoachCompass adaptable to a wider variety of coaching roles and instructional focus areas across your ISD.

• 🎓 Updated Training Course: We’ve fully updated the online training course to reflect the new platform features. Even better—we swapped out dense text blocks for engaging, bite-sized videos to make learning the tool faster and much easier!

• 📝 Updated Cycle Fields: We streamlined and refreshed the fields within coaching cycles to better capture the actual flow of your work.

• 📊 Enhanced Statistics: Enjoy updated reporting and data views to help you track trends, reflect on progress, and celebrate wins more effectively.

• 🔓 More Flexibility for Coordinators: We removed coordinator restrictions on coaches, giving you greater flexibility when managing your coaching teams.

Our brand-new platform features, training course, and updates will be released toward the end of August.

• Administrators: You can begin setting up your ISD accounts and programs now!

• Coaches: Please hold off on logging any activities or coaching cycles until the end-of-month release is complete so you can take full advantage of the new tools.
