Greeting World-Class Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to everyone who supported our Spirit Day at Chipotle and attended the flag football game to cheer on our student-athletes! Your presence truly means the world to us. Congratulations to our boys’ team for their exciting win against Ashford Park Elementary! Thank you to all of our parents for supporting Spirit Week and allowing your students to participate! We had an amazing time coming together as a community, showing our school spirit, and synchronizing our attire each day.

To culminate Spirit Week and celebrate National Superhero Day, we are excited to host our GA Milestones Pep Rally! Students and staff are invited to wear their favorite Superhero gear tomorrow, Monday, April 28th. We can’t wait to celebrate the incredible efforts of our students as they prepare to show their superpowers on the GA Milestones!

This week, we are gearing up for our End of Grade Assessments (GA Milestones)! Students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 will begin testing on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd with Math Section 1 and Math Section 2, respectively.

Important Testing Reminders:
• Please ensure students arrive at school on time. Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students should be in place by 7:45 a.m. to allow for a restroom break and final preparations.
• Students who arrive late may have to test in an alternate location at a different time, with another test examiner as we want all students to feel comfortable and confident in their regular testing environments.

Testing Reminders for Parents:
• Maintain a consistent bedtime routine to ensure students get plenty of rest.
• Encourage your child with positive words each morning.
• Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast either at home or at school.
• Minimize morning rush by preparing clothes, backpacks, and supplies the night before.
• Remind students that they are well-prepared and to simply do their best!

We are so proud of our scholars and all the hard work they have put in this year. Let’s finish strong

Lost & Found - Please take a moment to visit our Lost and Found to retrieve any of your child’s missing items—jackets, sweaters, hats, lunchboxes, water bottles, and more. Unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill at the end of each month, so be sure to check before they’re gone. Thank you for your help in keeping our Lost and Found clear and your student’s belongings where they belong!

As we move forward, I want to emphasize the importance of maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment. Please remind your children that while we are committed to providing enriching opportunities for growth, this can only be achieved when positive behavior is consistently demonstrated. We’ve made great progress, but we must remain vigilant—especially during carpool hours. I kindly ask that everyone continue to follow staff instructions during both AM and PM carpool to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Additionally, I’d like to highlight the critical role of consistent student attendance in supporting academic success. Our goal is for no student to miss more than 18 days of school, aiming for a 95% attendance rate this year—up from 93% last year. Your support is key to achieving this target, as consistent attendance lays the foundation for providing the best education possible for every student.

Once again, thank you for your support and dedication. It’s truly an honor to collaborate with each of you in educating and nurturing your children. Let’s finish strong and continue the great work we’ve been doing together! Let’s make this week count—on purpose as we continue to Go for G.O.L.D - Growing Our Learners Daily!

Proud to Serve,

-Principal Henley
