ACADEMICS
The Board Game Club at Klinger
The Board Game Club at Klinger Middle School continues to be an amazing opportunity for students. Board games help kids build strategy, language, and social skills while learning to communicate and collaborate in a fun, hands-on way. This year, we have added jewelry making, giving students a creative outlet to express themselves, strengthen fine motor skills, and participate in a friendly bracelet-design competition. Together, these activities offer a well-rounded, engaging experience that supports social-emotional learning, creativity, and personal growth.
6th-Grade FIRST Lego League
The 6th Grade First Lego League Robotics Team has been diligently preparing for our competition in December.
This year's theme is UNEARTHED.
Students were given many challenges to overcome this season:
1.) Students are working to help identify and solve a problem through research and innovation.
2.) Students are designing and coding a robot to complete missions.
3.) Students are working as teams to exemplify the FLL Core Values.
Our season will wrap up in December with our First Lego League Competition hosted at Klinger Middle School.
You are welcome to come check out the amazing things that our Centennial students have been up to live and in person on Saturday, December 13th, at Klinger Middle School!
Klinger Pretzel Social
In mid-November, both the 6 Red Stingrays and 6 Black Sharks hosted their annual Pretzel Socials. Families were invited to join us in the Klinger cafeteria to enjoy a warm pretzel snack while connecting with fellow families, staff, and students. This gathering was a great opportunity to meet new faces, build community, and celebrate the start of a fantastic school year.
During the social, families mingled, chatted with teachers, and learned more about the experiences and opportunities that await our 6th graders throughout the year. This event helped welcome our newest Klinger families to our school community.

WT Choirs Rehearse with Penn State Professor Dr. Arreon Harley-Emerson
On Friday, November 21, William Tennent High School welcomed Dr. Arreon Harley-Emerson, Assistant Professor of Choral Music at Penn State University, to work with all of our choirs—Chorus, Chorale, and Madrigals. Dr. Harley-Emerson is a nationally recognized conductor, composer, and arts leader, known for directing Essence of Joy, a Penn State ensemble dedicated to music of the Black Diaspora. He brought his expertise, energy, and passion for choral excellence to our rehearsals as he helped our singers prepare for the upcoming Winter Concert on Thursday, December 11.
In addition to his work as an educator, Dr. Harley-Emerson is the President and CEO of Equity Sings and the Artistic Director of Elevate Vocal Arts, organizations dedicated to creative workforce development and promoting equity in the arts. His résumé includes performances in venues such as St. Peter’s Basilica and the Kimmel Center, published research in The Oxford Handbook for Choral Pedagogy, and a TEDx Talk exploring music’s transformative power. Our students were inspired by his insight and artistry.
Willow Dale's Silver Spoon Award Winners
Congratulations to Mrs. McReynolds and Mrs. Andres' class on winning the Silver Spoon. One of our initiatives through Schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) is positive behavior in the lunchroom. Mrs. McReynolds and Mrs. Andres' classes have shown their PAWSOME behavior for the month of October. They were awarded a special table set up, lunch served, and a HUGE Silver Spoon to be held in the class for the month of November.
WT Select Choirs to Perform with Warminster Symphony Orchestra
The William Tennent Madrigals and Chorale are excited to perform with the Warminster Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, December 6. Our choirs will combine for a special collaboration featuring a movement from the Brahms Requiem and Handel’s iconic “Hallelujah Chorus.” For this concert only, all Centennial students receive free admission with a paying adult, making this a wonderful opportunity to experience an evening of exceptional music.
TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We’re excited to share that our district will be launching an updated version of the Parent Portal over winter break. This upgrade will provide a more streamlined, user-friendly experience for parents and guardians accessing district digital resources. If interested in learning more, visit the ClassLink Parent Portal overview.
Why the Update
This enhanced Parent Portal is designed to provide families with a more comprehensive and intuitive experience. The update will make it easier for parents to track their children's engagement with school-approved digital resources by providing clear usage analytics for each student. It will also streamline access by allowing parents to log in using a Gmail or Microsoft account and personalize their dashboard to better match their needs. Additionally, stronger integration with district systems reduces the likelihood of login issues and helps ensure a more reliable experience for families.
When This Will Happen and What to Expect
We will be rolling out the updated Parent Portal during winter break. Before the transition, we encourage all families to log in to Skyward and verify that your contact information is accurate and up to date. Once the new Parent Portal becomes available, you will receive instructions on how to claim your account and begin using the upgraded platform.
Thank you for your cooperation as we make this important upgrade to improve our communication and resource delivery.
HEALTH & WELLNESS
Hello, Parents and Guardians, and Welcome Back to Another School Year!
Please take a moment to ensure you’ve completed the Nurse Card, which includes permissions for over-the-counter medications during the school day. You can find it under Family Access > Beginning of the Year Information.
As a reminder for our younger students, please pack an extra set of clothing to keep in their backpack in case it’s needed during the school day. We also kindly ask that students wear closed-toe shoes to help prevent injuries and falls during recess.
We look forward to another great year working together with you!
As the fall season brings beautiful changes to our surroundings, it can also bring an unwelcome challenge — head lice.
