Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we approach the holiday season, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation for your continued support and partnership. This time of year reminds us of the importance of community, gratitude, and connection, and I am truly grateful for the wonderful families, teachers, and staff that make Nova such a special place.

📚Book Week Kick-Off 🎉

Book Week kicks off this Monday, December 15. The goal is to celebrate our love of books and reading! Please see the schedule for the week below:

  • Monday, December 15: Book Week Kick Off
  • Wednesday, December 17:
    • Book Character Assemblies -- Students and staff dress as their favorite book character.
      • Grades K, 2 & 5: 8:50 AM - 9:20 AM
      • Grades 1, 3 & 4: 9:35 AM - 10:05 AM
    • Battle of the Books, Round 1 -- 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Students will wear their Battle of the Books t-shirts with uniform bottoms.

***All parent/guardians are welcome to watch the Book Character Assemblies and the Battle of the Books!

  • Thursday, December 18: We will have a festive sweater day and hot chocolate day. Students are encouraged to wear festive/winter sweaters to kick off our winter break. Students can also wear spirit wear on top. Students must be in Uniform bottoms. If students are not wearing spirit wear or school colors, they are required to be in their uniform.

On behalf of our entire staff, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful, restful, and safe holiday season. May the break bring you moments of peace, laughter, and togetherness. We look forward to welcoming our students back in 2026, refreshed and ready for all the learning and growth ahead.

Warmest holiday wishes,

Sincerely,

Mrs. Farrell

Dimes for Disasters

The National Honor Society hosted Dimes for Disasters this year to support people in Jamaica who were affected by the serious damage caused by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm.

Our Lower School raised an amazing $733.66 for hurricane relief! Congratulations to the fourth grade, who brought in more than $200 as a grade level. They won a “silly head" day and celebrated recently. Check out the picture of Mr. Johnson in his "silly head" gear!

Carpool Lane Reminders

For everyone's safety and to ensure our carpool lines move smoothly, please remember to pull all the way forward when dropping off or picking up. We have had an increasing number of instances with folks on their cell phones not notice that the line is moving forward. This impacts the flow of the line and is a safety concern for pedestrians. Thank you for helping us keep the line moving efficiently for all families.
