A Note from Mrs. Pitts

Dear RES Families,

The PTA is, again, planning some festive fun for our staff as we head towards the winter break! They are still in need of help with the cookie swap at both schools. The links to helps are below.

    • RES: RES Cookie Swap

    • RJH: RJH Cookie Swap

In addition, we will have our annual spirit week so I wanted to send this early on so everyone was ready!

Warmly,

Michelle Pitts

We do need families to log in to Pay Schools to check their accounts. The information will show the current status of your cafeteria account. You may charge lunches, but there must be a balance to draw from. Please note that negative balances will show a minus sign - in front of the $ sign.

You may send your payment directly to the school. Payment may be made in the form of cash or check, made payable to Rye Elementary School. PaySchools Central has been implemented at the Rye School District as an optional online payment.

RES Stocking Stuffing Event – Parent Volunteers Needed!

We’re excited to invite our Rye families to join us for this year’s Stocking Stuffing Event! This is a wonderful opportunity for students and parents to work together to spread holiday cheer and make a difference for others in our community. Please join us on Friday Dec 12th in the RES gym from 3-5 for the sorting of items and Satturday the 13th from 10-1 for the stuffing of stockings!

To help keep the event focused and fun for everyone, we encourage children who attend to participate in the stocking-stuffing activities alongside their parents, as we want all hands on deck and fully engaged in the spirit of giving!

Thank you for helping us spread holiday cheer to those in our community! We can’t wait to see you there!

We are ready to invite you now that we HOPE we are fully staffed!:)

We invite one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) as we really do get quite tight at certain lunches. This is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend. This is an occasional event as we do want children to build independence and social skills in the cafeteria, a perfect time for this!

  • Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time. It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
  • Adults must bring their own lunch and can bring lunch for their own child.
  • We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
  • Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria BEFORE we line up all the children.
  • Days for family visits are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Lunch times are:
  • Kindergarten-11:45-12:10

    First Grade-12:15-12:40

    Second Grade-12:15-12:40

    Third Grade- 11:15-11:40

    Fourth Grade-11:15-11:40

Photo Spotlight: FUN IN THE SNOW! Photo Spotlight: FUN IN THE SNOW!

We have had so much fun now that there is snow! I had to share these pictures of our RES community helping one another clear snow from their cars. This place truly is special. Also, the students have been so excited to play in the snow. PLEASE send in boots and snow pants so they can roll around and play in it.
