Principal's Message
Happy Friday SES families! At the beginning of the year, we introduced students to our SES S.O.A.R expectations. We have encouraged students to Show self control, Own a positive attitude, Act responsibly, and Respect everyone. This week, students demonstrating these behaviors had their first opportunity to visit our SOAR shop and get rewarded for their great behavior. Be sure to ask your student how they are doing with these expectations!
It is supposed to be a beautiful weekend! Get out and try to enjoy these warm temperatures while you can!
See you Monday!
Mrs. Witkemper

Transportation & Dismissal Procedures!
Parents, we need your help!
The end of the day can be crazy if we have lots of last minute changes to how students are getting home. We understand that exceptions and emergencies will come up, but on a day to day, please try to follow the guidelines below.
- Please call the school when there will be a change in transportation. Teachers often don't get a chance to check email or parent square during the school day. A phone call ensures we get the message! A student telling us a transportation change is not enough-we need the phone call to ensure everyone gets home safely!
- Please try to call with transportation changes prior to 2:00.
- If you plan to pick your child up early, it would also be helpful if you called in ahead of time, especially if you plan to pick them up close to dismissal time. This will allow us to be prepared and not have to "hunt them down" as everyone is transitioning out to buses.
Congratulations October "Citizens of the Month!"

2nd & 5th grade students - High Ability Testing
We need additional information on the academic needs and performance of individual students
in order to provide instruction at the appropriate level for each child. We are continuing our
screening for the high ability program and depending on the information needed your second
or fifth grade child may be administered a standardized test during November. Parents of
students who qualify for the program will receive a ParentSquare message by the end of May.
If you have any questions regarding testing, please contact Kim Jovic at kjovic@perryschools.org.
