Happy Halloween!

What an interesting week at Kramer Elementary! You could tell the kids were ready to celebrate today. Thank you to all of our parents and volunteers who came in to help with class parties and view our parade!

Please see the PTG section below regarding our lost and found. We have accumulated quite the pile! Check the pictures below or come in to the office to see if anything belongs to your student. Anything left after Thanksgiving break will be donated.

** NO SCHOOL TUESDAY 11/4 FOR ELECTION DAY**

We hope everyone has a great weekend!

PAX - Good Behavior Game PAX - Good Behavior Game

This month, our classes co-created a PAX Vision Board as part of the PAX Good Behavior Game. Together, students and teachers identified what they want to see more and less of, and what they should do more and less of to build a community focused on peace, productivity, health, and happiness.

By working together, we’re setting a shared vision for our classrooms—a place where everyone feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. And it's not only in the classroom! This will stretch into the cafeteria, specials and even in the hallways.

Ask your student about their classrooms vision!

Read At Home

Attention Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade families: RAH begins on Wednesday September 24th. This will be our first reward day, so please return your RAH sheet by Wednesday!

Kramer RAH (Reading At Home) is a voluntary program from K-2nd graders that builds a home-school connection by rewarding students for reading at home. Each week students record the books they've read and turn-in record sheets for rewards. Rewards alternate between a student selected book and a small prize.

Health Education Curriculum Update - SB 288

The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW), formally called the Ohio Department of Education, has shared with public schools across the state Senate Bill 288. This legislation requires that health education curricula be updated to include (K-12/developmentally appropriate) prevention education information in the areas of sexual abuse and sexual violence for students in public schools.

Instruction was provided this past week...

Lunch with the Counselor…

One of my goals this school year is to get better acquainted with each and every student at Kramer. I hope to achieve this by inviting small groups of students to have lunch with me each day. In the month of September, I plan to focus on having lunch with and getting to know our new kindergarten class!!

I also provide small groups in which students work with their peers to learn skills that are helpful both in and out of the classroom, as well as short term one on one support. Some of the small groups and one on one support focus on specific areas such as self regulation, coping skills, relationships, etc.

If you are interested in your student receiving any additional support, please complete and return the appropriate permission form.
