October Focus: Connection and Consistency
- As we move into October, our focus is on building on the strong start we have made and continuing to help every student grow academically, socially, and personally.
- Teaching & Learning: Strengthen classroom routines, learning expectations, and instructional practices so students know what success looks like and have the support they need to achieve it.
- Student Well-Being: Continue building strong relationships and helping students develop the skills to manage emotions, solve problems, communicate respectfully, and make positive choices.
- Attendance: Keep the focus on being at school every day, arriving on time, and recognizing that consistent attendance is an important part of student success.
- Safe, Respectful, & Responsible Schools: Continue to teach, model, and reinforce what it means to be Safe, Respectful, and Responsible. We want every student to feel that they belong, that they matter, and that our school is a place where they can learn and grow.
October is about making sure the expectations we established in September become consistent habits. When students know what is expected, feel connected to the adults around them, and receive consistent support and encouragement, they are better prepared to learn and succeed.
