A Message from the Principal

πŸ“Š 3rd Quarter Missing Work Update

As we head into the final 4Β½ days of the 3rd nine weeks, we want to share where things currently stand regarding missing assignments.

The percentage of students with NO missing work is:

5th Grade: 80% – 47 out of 59
6th Grade: 48% – 29 out of 61
7th Grade: 33% – 18 out of 55
8th Grade: 25% – 20 out of 79

While we are proud of the students who are staying on top of their work, the data shows that many students still have missing assignments that need to be completed.

Over the past several days, teachers have taken time to pull students and work with them on completing missing work, but there are still assignments that need to be turned in.

With only 4Β½ days left in the quarter, this is the time to step it up.

Families, we need your help:

β€’ Please check grades in Skyward this week.
β€’ Talk with your child about any missing assignments.
β€’ Encourage them to use class time wisely and turn in quality work.
β€’ Remind them that simply turning something in is not enough β€” effort and completeness matter.

Students, this is your opportunity to take ownership. Missing work impacts grades quickly, and these final days can make a big difference.

All work for the 3rd quarter must be turned in by Friday, March 13.

We also offer ASAP support Monday–Thursday from 3:30–4:30, where teachers are available to help students finish their work.

Let’s finish the 3rd quarter strong. There is still time β€” but the window is closing quickly. 🐯

Date Changed: 8th Grade Pre-Enrollment Information Meeting

Hello 8th Grade Families,

Please note that the date for the Pre-Enrollment Information Meeting has changed. The meeting will now take place on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM at the high school.

During this meeting, families will receive important information about the enrollment process, course selection, graduation requirements, and opportunities available to students in high school. While we asked students to turn in pre-enrollment forms today, families are welcome to reach out to Mrs. Andrews (payton.andrews@usd340.org) or Mrs. Jensen (kasey.jensen@usd340.org) via email with any questions or to request changes after the meeting.

We encourage all families to attend if possible, as this meeting is designed to help you and your student feel prepared for the transition to high school.

We are still missing some pre-enrollment forms- please talk with your child about turning in their purple enrollment form for classes for next year.
