Dear Families-

We are looking forward to our 3rd Grade Veterans Day Performance on Monday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. in our school auditorium. Our third graders have been working hard to prepare a special tribute to honor our veterans. This month, we are focusing on being strong communicators, and this performance is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their voices, confidence, and collaboration. We can’t wait to see you there!

A big thank you to our PTSA for organizing a fantastic Stoller Fundraiser—we appreciate their continued support and partnership!

As we move into this season of giving, a reminder that our Toy Drive is underway. New, unwrapped toys can be placed in the collection box located in our school lobby. In addition, our district Food and Hygiene Drive is taking place to help support families across BCSD. Those items may also be dropped off in our school lobby.

We truly appreciate all that you do to support our school, our students, and our district community!

One Book, One School is underway, featuring The One and Only Ivan! Excitement is building across the school as students get to know Ivan and his friends while exploring themes of friendship, courage, and kindness. Classrooms are buzzing with discussion, creativity, and curiosity as we read together.

With the federal government shutdown and the reduction and potential delay of November SNAP benefits, many families in our community are facing additional financial strain.

Nearly 37% of our BCSD students qualify for free or reduced lunch, and about 18% of families receive SNAP benefits.

Our commitment remains the same. We will continue to ensure that every child in our Titan community has access to food, care, and support.

Each month we focus on one competency of Portrait of a Titan. In October staff and students focused on Empathy. We discussed what it looks like, we modeled how to show it and we looked for those students that strongly showed Empathy in each classroom. Congratulations to the students below. In November and December we will be focusing on Communicator.

POPCORN IS POPPIN" THIS FALL!

Each bag will cost $1.00 this year and started last week. All proceeds will go towards purchasing more supplies for our popcorn business. Anything over and above our supplies will be donated to a charity as voted on by our students at the end of the year.

Once our current 3rd graders have completed all of their economics lessons, they will be taking over the Popcorn Palooza in 2026.

Payments may be made in person at BPE using Cash or Check , or through Infinite Campus. Instructions are provided below.

Families are asked and encouraged to complete the Income Eligibility Verification Application to access additional benefits, including increased state and federal funding for staff, equipment, and supplies; discounts on fees for academic assessments; and access to local scholarships, tuition assistance for dual credit and AP courses, and discounts on college application fees. By completing the application, you help the district continue to provide valuable resources and opportunities for every student.

Online Payments

Online payment is our preferred method for parents and guardians to pay for school fees, cafeteria payments, and more.

The Infinite Campus Online Payment system is a payment processing

solution that allows you to submit food service and school-related fees 24/7

via the Parent Portal. Payments can be made for one child or the entire

household.

The Fees tool provides a list of all fees assigned to you. Fees may include things like a lab fee for a science course, a fee for a field trip or the cost of an athletic activity. Fees that are still owed and fees that were paid appear in this list, followed by the ongoing balance for all fees.

Just a Friendly Reminder

As the weather is changing, please take this opportunity to update your child's extra set of clothes in their backpack with clothing suitable for the current season, ensuring they have appropriate layers for colder or warmer temperatures depending on the time of year.
