KEWASKUM DISTRICT NEWS

MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT ADMINISTRATOR
Fall is my favorite time of year. We are surrounded by the changing leaves. The weather gets cooler, and it’s time to pull out the sweaters and autumn jackets. The change in season reminds me that growth often comes through change. Just as trees shed their leaves to prepare for the winter ahead, our students are learning to adapt, stretch, and discover new strengths as the school year moves forward.
By now, routines have taken root. Classrooms are buzzing with focused energy. Students are strengthening old friendships and developing new ones. Classes are moving on to more rigorous lessons. Change isn’t always easy, but it is an important part of growth, and it’s inspiring to see how our students are rising to meet new challenges.
Here are a few highlights this month:
Parent–Teacher Conferences are coming up at the end of this month. These are wonderful opportunities to celebrate progress and partner together on goals for the months ahead.
Autumn learning activities are underway, with projects and lessons that capture the season’s spirit of curiosity and creativity.
October is a great time to review routines like bus safety, fire drills, and safe choices as the days grow shorter. This is especially important during trick-or-treating. Thank you for reinforcing these important conversations at home.
As the season changes, I’m reminded that learning is also a journey of transformation. Thank you for walking alongside us, supporting your children as they navigate both the excitement and the challenges of change. Together, we help them discover their potential.
