You Otter Know August Update

It is hard to believe that August is already upon us! DBS is undergoing some big renovations this summer with a new roof and new parking lot currently being paved. It already looks amazing and we are grateful to all of you for your support.

My wife Stacey, our fur baby Grace, and I have settled in nicely in our new home and are super excited to be a part of such a beautiful and caring community.

I am incredibly excited for the upcoming school year and the opportunity to connect and collaborate with all of you and your children. Visibility is key to me so please look for me at arrival, dismissal, etc. to say hello and introduce yourself. Stay tuned for an announcement regarding "coffee chats" coming this fall. These are simply opportunities for us to spend some time together so we can get to know each other better and I can gather feedback on what you love about DBS and areas where we can be even better.

This community is so fortunate to have the most incredible staff that I have ever had the pleasure of collaborating with, and for better or worse, I have been around for quite some time! They are what I refer to as an "All-In" team and are absolutely student-centric to the core. What an honor it is to be a fellow Otter working with this team!

Infinite Campus Update

If your family has moved over the summer, please log into Infinite Campus to update your demographics. Please contact Mrs. Wood @ woodr@hartfordschools.net if you need assistance. Thank you!

We are in the process of finalizing after school transportation. To assist with this process, please complete the following form if you need to change the end of day transportation since June. I will roll forward transportation for those that do not need any changes. The bus routes and times will be posted in a couple of weeks. Thank you!

As in past years, Children will not be delivered to your doorstop. There will be an assigned area that students will be dropped off along the bus route. Please always notify the office if a change needs to be made either on a certain day or long term. The office requires a phone call by 2 pm for daily changes. transportation changes.

It has come to our attention that several spam emails have been sent to families via hacked teacher accounts. Please do not click on any of the links and or give any of your personal information. The district is working to secure the accounts that were affected. We apologize for this inconvenience.
