A Note from the Principal, Mrs. Holmes
Thank you for helping us have a strong start to the school year!
We have completed our first three days of our new personal electronic device expectation for students and we appreciate your support in helping them come to school prepared. As a reminder, students may bring devices to school, but they may not use or access them during the school day, from the first bell to the final bell.
Our staff spent time last week reviewing expectations, answering questions, and helping students learn the new routine. As with any new expectation, there may be a short adjustment period, and we will continue supporting students with reminders and guidance.
In line with Gwinnett County Public Schools guidelines, when students do not meet expectations, we will address violations in a fair, age-appropriate manner.
Thank you for continuing to talk with your child about:
- Keeping devices powered off during the school day
- Storing devices appropriately at school
- Contacting the school office if a family needs to reach a student during the day
We appreciate your partnership as we work together to create a focused, distraction-free learning environment for every student.
