A Little Bit About ME
Hi! My name is Crystal Elliott, but around Disney you'll hear me go by Ms. Crystal.
This is my 9th year as a school counselor in Springfield Public Schools and my first year at Disney Elementary. My favorite part of this work is building meaningful relationships with students, families, and staff while helping students learn new skills, overcome challenges, and discover their strengths. I also enjoy sharing what a comprehensive school counseling program looks like and the many ways it helps students succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Credentials
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Services and my Master of Science in School Counseling. I am certified as a Kβ12 School Counselor and am also a National Certified Counselor (NCC). The comprehensive school counseling program at my previous school was recognized for meeting both state and national standards for excellence in school counseling

Individual Student Support
Students, teachers, and parents/guardians can all request that I meet with a student. Most visits are brief and provide students with a safe, supportive space to talk, problem-solve, and learn coping strategies so they can return to class ready to learn.
While I respect students' privacy, there are times when I need to involve a trusted adult. If a student shares something that makes me concerned about their safety or well-being, I will let them know that I need to talk with a parent/guardian or another trusted adult so we can work together to provide the support they need.
If you ever have questions or concerns about your child, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm always happy to help.
