Happy Halloween, Bulldog families! 🎃 We hope you have a fun and safe night filled with lots of treats and no tricks! LOST AND FOUND GETTING DONATED 10/30
The cold weather has barely hit us, yet our lost and found is bursting at its seams! If your student is missing their sweatshirt, jacket, water bottle, or lunch bag, please have them stop by the lost and found located in the main hallway next to the showcases. We would love to get these items back to their owners! It's also an excellent time to double-check that your child's name is written on their lunch box, jacket, etc. Thank you! Items will be donated next Friday, October 30th, at the end of the quarter.
THANK YOU, WEST PARENT GROUP!
A big thank you to our West Parent Group for stocking our staff lounge with so many awesome snacks and treats! Our staff definitely felt spoiled! We appreciate your thoughtfulness and all the ways you continue to support and take care of our West staff. Thank you for making us feel so appreciated!
NJHS INDUCTION CEREMONY
We were proud to celebrate our students at West Middle School's National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) Induction Ceremony this past Monday. NJHS recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in the five pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. These students have worked hard academically while also demonstrating a commitment to helping others, making good choices, and being positive leaders in our school and community. Above are a couple of photos from our NJHS Induction Ceremony, although not all of our inductees are pictured. Congratulations to our newest NJHS members!
CHOIR CONCERT
Our choirs put on a great show at the Spooktakular Halloween! Students sang their hearts out to some Halloween favorites. Thank you to Mrs. Grady, our choir teacher, for her hard work and to our families for your support.
6TH GRADE BAND CONCERT
Our 6th grade band students had a fun opportunity to show off what they've been learning! During their concert, students taught their parents about their instruments and even gave them a chance to try playing! It was fun to see the roles reversed as students became the teachers. Check out the video below for a glimpse of our parents in action!
PBL CLASS VISITS BIRD ELEMENTARY
Our Project-Based Learning (PBL) students recently had the opportunity to share their projects with students at Bird Elementary! This was a great experience for our students to put their learning into action while connecting with younger students. Through this experience, our PBL students practiced important real-world skills, including planning, preparing, communicating, and presenting their work. It was also a wonderful opportunity for our students to serve as role models for their younger peers!
