South Davis Shines

A Message from Mr. Dolce
Hello South Davis Families.
If you haven't been to a Trunk or Treat before, I suggest you add it to your list of things to do next year. There were nearly 2 dozen trunks decorated in the most creative ways, including Officer Roberts' patrol car, and a haunted Fossil Glen put together by a team of South Davis teachers. Well over 100 students and their family members took advantage of the perfect fall weather to trick or treat, play some games, and enjoy our community. I've dropped a folder of pictures of some of the evening's fun. Thanks to the PTO for putting together this event!
As I mentioned last week, yesterday's Superintendent's Conference Day was filled with professional learning opportunities for all staff. There were many good conversations about literacy resources, instructional strategies, collaboration, and professional growth that renew my belief that we are doing great things for your children. As the year progresses, we expect you will see the results as your children gain a broader depth of knowledge on a variety of topics, expand their vocabulary, become stronger readers and writers, and take a more active role in their learning experience.
We're all in this together! Have a great week!
Mr. Dolce
