Year-in-Review Impact
Thanks to the continued support of our community, millage funding has made a meaningful difference at YPS this year. We’ve strengthened school safety, expanded opportunities in the arts, enhanced literacy supports, and improved teacher and staff retention, all directly impacting student success.
From safer campuses and engaging enrichment experiences to targeted reading support and a strong, stable staff, these investments help us provide the high-quality education our students deserve. Thank you for helping us continue to make a difference every day!
AR Celebration Success!
We are so proud of our students who met their Accelerated Reader (AR) goals! Their hard work, dedication, and love for reading truly paid off. To celebrate, students enjoyed a special AR Celebration in recognition of their achievement. It was exciting to see so many smiling faces as we honored their commitment to growing as readers!
Thank you, families, for your continued support in encouraging reading at home. Together, we are building strong, confident readers every day!
Keep up the great work, Hornets!
Riding the Waves of Resilience
Resiliency at YPS
Last Month’s Resiliency Theme: Mentorship
Last month, our focus on mentorship truly came to life across our campus. Students show mentorship and volunteerism in many meaningful ways. As mentors, they support their peers by helping classmates with assignments, modeling positive behavior, encouraging others during challenging tasks, and being a “buddy” to younger students who may need guidance or reassurance. They also lead by example in the classroom, cafeteria, hallways, and on the playground.
We are proud to recognize these outstanding efforts during our Hornet of the Month celebration. These students exemplify what it means to be responsible, respectful, and ready to lead, and we are so proud of the positive impact they are making at Yulee Primary. Keep up the amazing work, Hornets!
Attendance Matters!
Attendance matters, and every school day counts! Being present and on time helps students build strong routines, stay connected to learning, and continue making the progress we’ve seen throughout the year. Even missing a small amount of school can add up, so we encourage families to make attendance a top priority whenever possible.
A big shoutout to Mrs. Bright’s 1st Grade Class for having the highest attendance rate last month! Your commitment to showing up ready to learn is something to celebrate. Keep it up, Hornets!
Happy National School Librarian Day on April 4th!
We are so grateful for Ms. Maccabe and the incredible impact she has on our students and staff each day. Her library is more than just a place for books, it’s a hub of creativity, exploration, and discovery!
From engaging, interactive lessons that span topics like plants and technology to hands-on STEAM experiences that spark curiosity, she brings learning to life for all of our students.
Ms. Maccabe also goes above and beyond by planning our exciting STEAM Night, filled with fun and meaningful activities for families to enjoy together. In addition, she is always there to support both teachers and students, ensuring everyone has the resources and support they need to succeed.
Thank you, Ms. Maccabe, for inspiring a love of learning and making a difference every single day!
