Defender Families,

Be sure to review the final exam schedule below, as some grade levels will begin their finals this week. Don’t forget to check out the Spirit Day flyer as well so you can show your DMS pride!

We had a wonderful choir concert last week, and we’re excited for the upcoming band and orchestra concerts this week. We hope you can join us to celebrate the incredible talents of some of our DMS student.

The PTSA at Margarita Middle is hosting a Makers Market for all students at MMS but have decided to open this event to other Middle schools within TVUSD. This event provides our students the opportunity to be their own business owner and make some money by selling their handmade crafts.

They are inviting other students to participate in this event. Below is a flyer and the link to apply to be a student vendor. Event date is Thursday, Dec 11 from 6pm-8pm. Set up starts at 5pm.

This is a non profit event, but there is a cost associated with this event, so they are asking vendors/parents to make an optional $10 donation to the PTSA. The event is free for students to participate and for attendees.

DMS Families,

Thank you for your continued support. Our December Deals are live on the DMS website now — we’re offering a sale on hoodies, sweatpants, and joggers. All items are approved for wear in PE classes.

Students can order online Webstore Link or purchase in the ASB room 515 during bookkeeper hours: Monday before school, Tuesday after school, and Thursday before school. ASB will deliver purchases to your student during Advisement. The sale runs through winter break.

Students worked on annotating text and using the annotations to answer questions with textual evidence.

Students used novel quotes previously gathered to construct an essay on justice.

Students working on individual learning tasks.

Students graphed linear equations and created situations to support the equation.

Students work with partners to measure mechanical waves and their properties.

Students worked on map skills for Ancient India.

Students worked with a Gizmos program to practice balancing chemical equations.

Choir students performed during their winter concert on Thursday evening. A wonderful job by all students and Mrs. Landrum!!!
